This is my Christmas- themed one point perspective drawing, and it is a festive room featuring a brick fireplace and a checkered rug. It is a pencil sketch on white paper. I learned how to utilize the vanishing point to draw not just angular shapes with hard edges, but things (such as the wreath and the tinsel) that have texture and therefore might be harder to draw. The main art elements were lines, value (in the rug especially), shape, and space. These all come together with an overlapping technique to create a tangible space. The vanishing point and lines leave the drawing with just outlines, which may look flat to some people but it looks simplistic to me, which is comforting.
