This is the pen and ink drawing, in which I chose a flower that looks kind of like a carnation and a rose. I don't know if the flower has a motif itself, the flower in whole is equally detailed. But I think eyes are attracted the the contrast in the lower petals on the white paper. The new skill I learned was how to draw/write with a pen and ink, and how to create texture with these materials. I chose stippling to define the texture and shading of the flower, which was extremely tedious, but very pretty. The art elements I used were space, shape, value and texture. The mood expressed by this picture is glamour and drama, because it stands alone against the white paper in a striking way.
